STUDENT AFFAIRS MANAGEMENT MODEL IN THE DIGTAL AGE OF SCHOOLS UNDER THE OFFICE OF THE PRIVATE EDUCATION COMMISSION IN CHACHOENGSAO PROVINCE

Abstract

This research aims to develop a digital age student affairs management model for the Office of the Private Education Commission in Chachoengsao Province. This mixed-method research was divided into three phases: 1) To study the components of student affairs management in the digital age. The informants included nine experts, who were purposively selected. The tools used were interviews and content analysis. 2) To create a digital age student affairs management model. The informants included three experts, who were purposively selected. The tools used were interviews and content analysis. and 3) to trial and evaluate the model. The informants included 20 school administrators and stakeholders, who were purposively selected. The tools used were assessment forms. The statistics used included means and standard deviations. The results revealed that: 1) The study of the components of student affairs management in the digital age revealed problems in recording student histories in the system, which were inaccurate, incomplete, and frequently changed; a lack of responsible persons overseeing student affairs; and a lack of cooperation from parents and external agencies. and lack of technology to help in management 2) The student affairs management model in the digital age consists of 4 main components: 1) Records work 2) Student development activities 3) Welfare and safety and 4) Community relations, each component drives management, including planning, implementation, inspection and improvement. and 3) The results of the model trial found that teachers have skills and behaviors in using information technology to manage student affairs at a high level. And the results of the model evaluation found that the model is most appropriate, useful and feasible.
