Abstract

The purpose of this research were to 1) Examine the current situation of student affairs management teams in Guangxi universities and 2) Investigate strategies for improving the level of student affairs management teams in Guangxi universities. This research employed a mixed-methods approach. The population consisted of 291 teachers from 10 public universities in Guangxi.
The research instrument was a questionnaire with a content validity index of 1.00 and a reliability coefficient of .92. Data analysis was performed using percentages, means, and standard deviations. The results showed that the current situation of student affairs management teams in Guangxi colleges and universities was at a high level (equation = 3.89, equation = 0.68) across 6 areas and 38 measures. Strategies for improving the management team level included establishing a comprehensive knowledge structure, creating an effective management system, establishing extensive training channels, providing a skills training system, creating a good work incentive mechanism, and establishing an effective evaluation mechanism. The creation of a comprehensive knowledge structure comprises 5 measures; the establishment of an effective management system comprises 8 measures; the creation of extensive training channels comprises 6 measures; the provision of a skills training system comprises 5 measures; the creation of a good work incentive mechanism comprises 7 measures; and the creation of an effective evaluation mechanism comprises 6 measures. For the enforcement and feasibility of strategies to improve the student affairs management team level at Guangxi University, information technology is integrated and collaborative networks are established to develop plans and strategies for organizational success.
