The Curriculum Administration for Improving English Language Learning Skills in The 21st Century Of Schools in Suratthani 2 Consortium under The Secondary Educational Service Area Office Suratthani Chumphon

Abstract

This article aimed (1) to study the state of the curriculum administration for improving English learning skills of schools in Suratthani 2 consortium under the Secondary Service Area Office Surattani Chumphon (2) to study and presenting the guidelines for improving English learning skills in the 21^st century of schools in Suratthani 2 consortium under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Suratthani Chumphon. The study was qualitative research. Data were collected by in-depth interviews with 15 people involved, 5 key informants, and focus group discussion by 7 experts, Analysis data by Content Analysis. The result of the study found that The state of the curriculum administration for improving English language learning skills of schools in Suratthani 2 consortium under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Suratthani Chumphon has a scope of work according to the curriculum administration consisting of 1) the curriculum planning and preparing the curriculum implementation; 2) the curriculum implementation; and 3) the supervision and evaluation of the curriculum implementation. The guidelines for improving English learning skills in the 21st century of schools in Suratthani 2 consortium under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Suratthani Chumphon consisted of 1) Learner-Centered Language Curriculum; 2) Communicative Language Teaching; 3) Integrated Learning; 4) Cooperative Learning; 5) Content-Based Instruction; and 6) Whole Language Approach. In addition, the experts verified the guideline for improving English learning skill in the 21st century of schools in Suratthani 2 consortium under the Secondary Educational Service Are Office Suratthani Chumphon and found that it is appropriate, possible and useful.
