Development of Fine Motor Skills Using Drawing and Painting Activities of Early Childhood Children, Kindergarten 3

This article aimed to compare the ability to use small hand muscles of early childhood children in Kindergarten 3 before and after and after using drawing and painting. It is a quasi-experimental research. The sample group consisted of 32 early childhood children in kindergarten 3/2, semester 1, academic year 2022, obtained through purposive sampling. The tools used to collect data include 1) a plan for organizing early childhood drawing and painting activities, 2) a set of early childhood drawing and painting activities, and 3) a form for observing the development of small muscles in early childhood, which has been quality assessed by experts already, analysis data by mean, standard deviation and percentage of progress. The results of the study found that results of comparing the ability to use small hand muscles of preschool children in Kindergarten 3 before and after using drawing and painting overall and in each aspect, early childhood children have the ability to use small hand muscles after using drawing and painting, activities were significantly higher than before the activity at the 0.01 level.
