Relationship between The Role of Administrators and The Use of Information and Communication Technology in Schools under The Primary Educational Services Office, Samut Sakhon Province

Abstract

This article aimed (1) study the level of the role of school administrators under the Primary Educational Services Office, Samut Sakhon Province, (2) study the level of the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in schools under the Primary Educational Services Office, Samut Sakhon Province, and (3) study the relationship between the role of administrators and the use of information technology in schools under the Primary Educational Services Office, Samut Sakhon Province. The Population is administrators and teachers in schools under the Primary Educational Services Office, Samut Sakhon province, (2,273 person, data as of 2565). The sample group includes 340 drawn by Taro Yamane’s a tool used for data collection was a questionnaire. The research utilized a questionnaire for data collection, and statistical analysis involved frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. The findings were as follows: The overall role of school administrators under the Primary Educational Services Office, Samut Sakhon Province, is at a high level. When inspecting individual aspects, the role of being a public relations officer has the highest average, followed by the role of negotiator, while the role of organizational leader has the lowest average. The overall use of information and communication technology (ICT) in schools under the Primary Educational Services Office, Samut Sakhon Province, is at the highest level. When inspecting individual aspects, the curriculum has the highest average, followed by the use of ICT as the basis for learning, while the personnel development aspect has the lowest average. The relationship between the role of school administrators and the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in schools under the Primary Educational Services Office, Samut Sakhon Province, is statistically significant at the .05 level, with a correlation coefficient of .979.
