Public Participation in the Preparation of Public Services in Bangkhuwat Town Municipality Mueang Pathumthani District Pathumthani Province

Abstract

The purposes of this research article are to (1) study participation of citizens in the preparation of public services of Bangkhukat Municipality, (2) study factors of public services in the provision of public services of Bangkhuwat Municipality Mueang Pathumthani District Pathumthani Province, and (3) relationship between service factors that affect public participation in the preparation of public services of Bangkhuwat Municipality Mueang Pathumthani District Pathumthani Province. This research is survey research. The tool used to collect data was questionnaire with random sample of 379 people, using random number table, statistics used in data analysis included mean, standard deviation, correlation coefficient analysis, hypothesis testing and multiple regression analysis. The results of the study found that service factor, overall and each aspect is at high level in every aspect and the aspect with the highest average is the aspect of providing adequate services. Citizen participation in the provision of public services overall and each aspect is at high level in every aspect and the aspect with the highest average is decision-making. The relationship between service factors affects public participation in public services. Overall, there is moderate positive relationship, statistically significant and variables predicting service delivery factors affecting public participation in public service provision. The variable tested with the highest predictive power was the aspect of providing adequate services. The regression coefficient or predictive power is equal to .978, affecting the participation of citizens in the preparation of public services 97.80%, which is statistically significant.
