Information System Development for Academic Administration in Basic Education Expansion Schools under Nakhon Si Thammarat Educational Service Area Office 4

Abstract

This article aimed (1) to study the conditions of information operations, (2) to present and evaluate guidelines for the development of information systems for academic administration in Basic Education Expansion Schools under Nakhon Si Thammarat Educational Service Area Office 4. This research is qualitative research. Tools used to collect data including interview form Group discussion evaluation form. Statistics used include analyzing qualitative data by descriptive analysis. The result of the study found that operational conditions of information there are 5 steps of using the information system, (1) data collection, (2) data verification, (3) data processing, (4) data storage, and (5) data utilization. Although five stages are operated, they are not yet fast and up to date. The results of the presentation and evaluation of information systems for academic administration in Basic Education Expansion Schools under Nakhon Si Thammarat Educational Service Area Office 4 consist of five steps according to information system: (1) data collection the required list of information, ways how to store, responsible person, storage pattern, report of progress (2) data verification assigning system administrator, data collection, data improvement and correction (3) data processing planning, method, use of data and report (4) data storage creation of system and classification of data, choosing a storage method, preparation of a user manual (5) data utilization creation of the academic system, creating permission or login, and dissemination of data in academic administration in five areas namely: 1) teaching and learning in the school 2) curriculum development of the school 3) evaluation and transfer of credits, 4) supervision, 5) development and use of technological materials with fast, accurate and up-to-date. Experts are of the opinion that is appropriate, there is a possibility and is useful and can be used.
