The Readiness for Digital Government of Bang Sri Mueang Municipality, Mueang Nonthaburi District, Nonthaburi Province

Abstract

The purposes of this research study are: (1) to study the readiness levels for digital government of Bang Sri Mueang Municipality, Mueang Nonthaburi District, Nonthaburi Province, and (2) to compare the readiness levels for digital government of Bang Sri Mueang Municipality, Mueang Nonthaburi District, Nonthaburi Province according to personal factors. This study is a survey research. The samples were the public officers, permanent employees, outsourced workers, and general employees of Bang Sri Mueang Municipality. A non-probability sampling method, specifically accidental sampling, was used, selecting data from a sample of 149 individuals who cooperated until the sample size was complete. Questionnaires were used as the research instruments. The research statistics include percentages, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and the paired difference test with Fisher’s Least Significant Difference (LSD). The findings showed that the readiness level for digital government of Bang Sri Mueang Municipality, Mueang Nonthaburi District, Nonthaburi Province, was high. Specifically, Bang Sri Mueang Municipality had the highest readiness level regarding strategies and leadership, followed by organizational culture, operations, information security, missions, digital skills, and service users’ experience management. The lowest readiness level was in terms of public sector support. Testing the hypotheses revealed that samples with different educational levels and personnel types had a significant statistical difference in the readiness levels of Bang Sri Mueang Municipality to become a digital government.
