Needs Assessment of Safety School Management under the Primary Educational Service Area Office

Abstract

This article aimed to study (1) the current condition and the desired conditions of safety school management under the Primary Education Service Area Office, and (2) the needs assessment of safety school management under the Primary Education Service Area Office. The sample was Survey Research. The sample group consists of 400 teachers from schools under Primary Education Service Area Office. The sample using a multi-stage sampling method. The instrument used in the research was a questionnaire of Safety School Management under the Primary Educational Service Area Office. The statistics used to analyze data comprised percentage, mean, standard deviation and PNI modified index. The research results were found that: 1) The current condition of safety school management under the Primary Education Service Area Office as a whole at low level and the desired conditions of safety school management under the Primary Education Service Area Office as a whole at highest level. 2) The needs assessment of safety school management under the Primary Education Service Area Office were ranked as follows: (1) suppression, (2) prevention, and (3) cultivation respectively.
