Abstract

This research was aimed to 1) develop the music curriculum management model for excellent students through participation action research. 2) study the results of the development within the music curriculum management model for excellent students through participatory action research. The participants are 29 piano teachers and piano students who studied at Patchara Music Academy Sriracha School. The research instruments included a meeting record form, an interview question protocol, a procedure assessment form, an observation form, a procedure record form, and a focused group protocol. The data was analyzed with standard deviation and content analysis.
The research results show the following findings. Development of the music curriculum management model for excellent students through participatory action research had 2 cycles and 10 steps. As followed; (1) Preparation (2) Planning (3) Acting (4) Observing (5) Reflecting (6) Re - Planning (7) Re - Acting (8) Re - Observing (9) Re - Reflecting, and (10) Conclusion. With the researcher role in participatory action research, an effect on both the school and the teachers who participated in the research, gained development, received an increase in new information, and the experience of learning together. Furthermore, the results of the assessment regarding the development of excellence in the music curriculum management by participatory action research found that, students were able to increase their music skills, performance and techniques. Moreover, the students have more confidence and motivation to learn music.
