The Influence of Perceived Organizational Support and Trust in Innovation on Innovative Work Behavior: Work Engagement and Motivation as Mediating Variables among Employees in Wood Furniture Export Manufacturing Firms in Chonburi Province
Main Article Content
Abstract
The objectives of this research were 1) to study the levels of perceived organizational support, innovative trust, employee work passion, and innovative work behavior of employees in an export wood furniture factory, and 2) to examine the direct and indirect influences of these variables based on the conceptual framework. The sample consisted of 277 employees in the export wood furniture industry in Chonburi Province, selected through stratified random sampling. The research instrument was a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire with composite reliability (CR) ranging from 0.84 to 0.91. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The research findings indicate that perceived organizational support (DE = 0.485) and trust in innovation (DE = 0.394) have significant positive direct effects on employee work passion. They also exert significant indirect effects on innovative work behavior (IE = 0.126 and 0.102, respectively), at the 0.01 level of statistical significance. Furthermore, the model demonstrates a good fit with the empirical data
(CMIN/DF = 2.015, GFI = 0.925, CFI = 0.961, RMSEA = 0.062).
