Developing better community relation through Education and social interaction : Case Study: Thamadua, Sub-district, Bang Kaew District, Phattalung Province

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the social factors in developing a better community relations for residents. The area of the research was Thamadua, Sub - district, Bang Kaeo District, Phattalung Province. The methodology to obtain the data was in-depth verbal questioning of several residents within the community. The questions involved the residents satisfaction with their present community relations and asked residents to suggest activities, actions and a basic knowledge base that would improve their life within the community. This community would be classified as rural and agricultural. The research found that the residents were familiar with their agricultural community neighbors but lacked the knowledge base of activities available within the adjacent more urban areas of the community. It was determined that there should be an educational network established to announce nearby activities, events and social gatherings that would improve the quality of life of the residents.

Suggestion: This action should be coordinated by local leaders and officials to bring the urban and rural communities together in social activities that can be enjoyed by all residents.
