Political Participation of the People in the Area of Khong Chiam Sub–district Administrative Organization, Khong Chiam District, Ubon Ratchathani Province

Abstract

          The objectives of this research article are 1) to study the level on political participation of people in the area of Khong Chiam Sub-District Administrative Organization of Khong Chiam District in UbonRatchathani Province, 2) to compare political participation in the area of Khong Chiam Sub-District Administrative Organization of people with the gender, age, educational  levels, occupation and different  residing villages and 3) to collect data for proposal and present for Administers of Khong Chiam Sub-District Administrative Organization in Khong Chiam District of Ubon Ratchathani Province. The Samples of this research consist of 374 persons who have rights for election in the area of Khong Chiam Sub-District Administrative Organization in Khong Chiam District of Ubon Ratchathani Province. The limit of samples using regulation of Yamane. The instrument in this research is used 5 rating scales questionnaires. The analysis statistics are descriptive statistics included with percentage, mean and standard deviation. The hypothesis testing included t-test and f-test and the couple testing of variance by regulation of Cheffe.

          The result shows as follows: The political participation of people in the area of Khong Chiam Sub-District Administrative Organization in Khong Chiam District of Ubon Ratchathani province is in medium level for overall. Consideration on each aspect, it finds that the aspect on vote is in high level, the aspects on following up or prevailing the state informations are in medium level and the aspects on political participation are in low level for 2 aspects by lining up from high to low for political participation and the rest is demand for public advantage. The results on comparative analysis of people with gender, age, educational levels, occupations and different residing villages are on statistical significant difference for .05 level. But, the people with different residing villages are not on difference.
