Abstract

          This thesis contains 3 objectives; 1) to study the mindfulness training in Theravada Buddhism, 2) to study the method of mindfulness training of the teaching of Luangpor Tien Cittasubho and 3) to study the mindfulness training in daily life according to the teaching of Lungpor Tien Cittasubho. This thesis is a research documentation. The mindfulness training in Theravada Buddhism aims to limit the mindfulness at the fourfold foundation, called “The four foundations of mindfulness”; they are Gaya-nupassanasatipattan, Vedana-nupassanasatipattan, Citta-nupassanasatipattan and Dhamma-nupassanasatipattan. The fourth foundations of mindfulness are the practicing for keep the standing of consciousness and understand the spirituality suffering at various levels until reach out the Nirvana. Practicing mindfulness by moving with unclosing eyes of Luangpor Tien Cittasubho doctrine conforms to the Gaya-nupassanasatipattan which contains body movements and mindfulness determining. The aim of this practicing is reminding the body to be an observer which can encourage people to apply this practicing in daily life.
