Guidelines for Forest Preservation in Thai Online Newspapers

Abstract

          The objectives of this research article were 1) to study of the guideline of forest conservation in Thai online newspapers, 2) to study of linguistic strategies presented in Thai online newspapers. Researcher use the concept of news-presentation, news-headlines, the concepts of linguistic strategies in 6 issues, data analysis through websites of Khoasod online newspapers and Thairath Online newspapers from 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2018, a total of 120 news

          The result of the research reveal news-presentation method through key elements of news writing, especially news headlines and news content, which helps to know the guideline of forest conservation as reforestation, forest development, and prevention of forest fires and the prevention of deforestation. A researcher founds the guideline of forest conservation in the prevention of deforestation mostly, secondly in reforestation and forest development, found less in the prevention of forest fires.  The linguistic strategies in news-presentation of forest conservation in Thai online newspaper found six linguistic strategies as using vocabulary, phrases, sentences, names and naming, using of verbs and using of extended words. The most appearance is vocabulary strategies, next is the use of verbs, the use of names and naming, words expansions and phrases or words group and sentences.

          The study of that strategy clearly demonstrates the guideline of forest conservation in Thai online newspapers develop the potential of news presentation techniques to be suitable for communication in digital age.
