Application of the Principles of Brahma Vihara Dhamma in the Life of the Ban Pa O Community, Muang Ngam Subdistrict, Singhanakhon District, Songkhla Province

Abstract

             The purpose of this research were: 1) to study the concept of life of the Ban Pa O community, Muang Ngam Subdistrict, Singhanakhon District, Songkhla Province, 2) study the principles of Brahmavihara Dhamma that appear in Theravada Buddhist scriptures, and 3) the application of the principles of Brahmavihara Dhamma. In the life of the Ban Pa-o community, Muang Ngam Subdistrict, Singhanakhon District, Songkhla Province. It is qualitative field research. By studying information from the Tripitaka Academic documents on Buddhism Related research Use in-depth interviews as a research tool. Present data with analytical descriptions.
             The research result found that:
             1. Living together of the Ban Pa-O community, Muang Ngam Subdistrict, Singhanakhon District, Songkhla Province, is experiencing a state of lack of morality. Lack of understanding between each other Different people have different views. Family members do not know their responsibilities in living together. This causes various problems as follows: Problems of discord in the family and drug problems.
             2. Principles of Brahma Vihara Dhamma It is a moral principle. So that he can live a life as noble and pure as Brahma. It is the moral code of conduct for those who rule. and living together with others. It consists of four principles: loving-kindness, compassion, kindness, and equanimity.
             3. Application of the principles of Brahma Vihara Dhamma for the lifestyle of the Ban Pa O community. in solving family problems by applying the principles of Brahma Vihara Dhamma in living life. By showing honest and sincere actions towards each other. both in front of and behind and promote family living together in the Ban Pa-o community to solve various problems when used to promote correct use and proper methods, conduct oneself according to one's role and responsibilities. Learn the habits and needs of each other within the family. This makes them able to support their families in happiness and warmth. Family members are based on cooperation.
