Problems in the Organization of the 21st Chaturat Samakkhi Sports Competition

The purpose of the study were to 1) examine problems in the organization of sports competitions and 2) compare the problems in the 21st Chaturat Samakkhi Sports Competition between team personnel and athletes. The population consisted of 41 team personnel and 125 athletes, the total being 166 subjects. Using the technique of simple random sampling, the sample size was determined using the method of Yamane. The research instrument was a questionnaire with the validity of 0.80-1.00 and the reliability of .983. The statistics used in data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. A technique of t test was also employed. Findings were as follows: 1) The problems of organizing the sports competition under study overall were at a moderate level    ( = 2.76). When considered in each aspect, it was found to be at a moderate level in all aspects. In descending order were the aspects of location, materials and facilities ( = 2.78); personnel (  = 2.77); management ( = 2.76); and finance and budget (  = 2.74) and 2) Athletes and team personnel participating in the sports competition under study exhibited differences in the problems in the organization of sports competition overall and in each aspect of personnel; finance and budget; location, materials, and facilities; and management at the statistically significant level of .05.
