Factors Affecting Creative Thinking Skills of Undergraduate Students Nakhon Ratchasima College

The research objectives were to 1) study factors affecting creative thinking, and 2) create forecasting equations using 341 sample students. The research tools were a questionnaire on factors affecting creative thinking skills, and an assessment tool to measure creative thinking skills. Data were analyzed by correlation coefficients and multiple regression analysis.The research results showed that: 1) the correlation coefficient of creative thinking (Y) was positively correlated with factors of Motivation, Achievement, Personality, Emotion, Problem solving, Participation in activities, Teacher's teaching behavior, Family relationship, Educational environment, Democratic parenting, and Parental support, 2) the forecast variables were able to explain the 89.20 percent variation of the students' creativity scores (coefficient of decision-making (R Square) = 0.892). {Note: the forecast variables: were: Democratic parenting (X9), Personality (X2), Family relationship (X7), Emotion (X3), Parental support (X10), Activity participation (X5), Learning environment (X8), Achievement motivation (X1), Teacher's teaching behavior (X6), Problem solving (X4). They correlated with creative thinking skills and were statistically significant at the 0.01 level.
