Roles of administrators and the implementation of internal quality assurance in schools under the Samut Songkhram Primary Educational Service Area Office

Abstract

This correlational study examined the roles of school administrators and the implementation of internal quality assurance in schools under the Samut Songkhram Primary Educational Service Area Office, and analyzed the relationship between these two variables. The population consisted of 587 teachers in the 2568 academic year, from which a stratified random sample of 230 teachers was selected. Data were collected using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed through descriptive statistics and Pearson’s product-moment correlation coefficient. The findings showed that teachers rated both the roles of administrators and the implementation of internal quality assurance at the highest level overall and across all dimensions. In addition, the relationship between administrators’ roles and the implementation of internal educational quality assurance was positive and statistically significant at the .01 level, with a moderate correlation coefficient of .46. These results suggest that effective administrative roles are associated with stronger implementation of internal quality assurance in schools and underline the importance of leadership in sustaining educational quality management.
