Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has spurred an increase in the popularity of health tourism, with tourists now prioritizing safety and cleanliness in terms of service standards. This research paper is based on documentary research, using descriptive statistics and content analysis to examine population data sourced from research papers, theses, and literature on health tourism, as well as tourism and service standards. The finding reveals that health tourism has gained traction among tourists during the pandemic, resulting in an increased demand for safety and cleanliness standards both domestically and internationally. Furthermore, a variety of main goals have been specified in the purpose standard specification. To obtain standard certification for tourism and service establishments, it is essential to select standards that align with the establishment's purpose and business goals. Moreover, it is crucial to ensure that these standards are appropriate and consistent with the specific requirements of each establishment.
