Cooperation of Myanmar Migrant Workers in Phang-nga Province: A Case Study of Rakhine Ethnic Group (in Thai)

Abstract

This research aims to study the cooperation of Myanmar migrant workers in Phang-nga Province, emphasizing on the case of Rakhine Ethnic group. The target areas of study included: Tublamu Community, Taimuang District; Ban Numkem Community, Takuapa District; Kuraburi Community, Kuraburi District; and Natawee Community, Takuapa District in Phang-nga Province. These are areas that a great number of migrant workers live and work, consist of various ethnic groups of labors and live together with Thai communities The study found two kinds of cooperation of Myanmar migrant workers in Phang-nga Province: The first, cooperation under the same ethnic group, that is the cooperation of the Rakhine Ethnic group-(namely, ‘Rak kita myoji yakai Group’ Tublamu) in Tublamu Community. The second, cooperation of migrant workers organizations as a network that consist of various ethnic groups of Myanmar migrant workers under the name of Phang-nga CBOs Center (PCC)

ความร่วมมือของแรงงานข้ามชาติเมียนมาร์ ในจังหวัดพังงา: กรณีศึกษากลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ยะไข่

งานวิจัยชิ้นนี้ มุ่งศึกษาความร่วมมือ ของแรงงานข้ามชาติเมียนมาร์ในจังหวัดพังงา โดยให้ความสำคัญกับกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ยะไข่ พื้นที่ เป้าหมายของการศึกษาคือพื้นที่ชุมชนทับละมุ อำเภอท้ายเหมือง ชุมชนบ้านน้ำเค็ม อำเภอ ตะกั่วป่า ชุมชนคุระบุรี อำเภอคุระบุรี และชุมชน นาทวี อำเภอตะกั่วทุ่ง จังหวัดพังงา ซึ่งเป็นพื้นที่ ที่มีแรงงานข้ามชาติอาศัยและทำงานอยู่อย่าง หนาแน่น ประกอบด้วยแรงงานหลากหลาย ชาติพันธุ์อยู่รวมกันในพื้นที่อาศัยร่วมกับชุมชน ไทย ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ความร่วมมือของ แรงงานข้ามชาติเมียนมาร์ในจังหวัดพังงามี 2 รูปแบบ คือ รูปแบบที่หนึ่ง ความร่วมมือภายใต้ ความเป็นชาติพันธุ์เดียวกัน คือ ความร่วมมือ ของกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ยะไข่-กลุ่มรักคิตาเมียวจิยะไข่ ทับละมุ รูปแบบที่สอง คือ ความร่วมมือแบบองค์กรเครือข่ายแรงงานข้ามชาติที่ประกอบด้วย แรงงานหลากหลายชาติพันธุ์ของแรงงานข้ามชาติเมียนมาร์ในนาม กลุ่ม Phang-nga CBOs Center (PCC)
