Bilateral Buddha Amulet Trade between Thailand and Malaysia (in Thai)

Abstract

Bilateral Buddha amulet trade between Thailand and Malaysia is divided into three periods: The first period is the beginning period of amulet trade (B.E. 2500-2538) during which Thai amulets were distributed into Malaysia by freely giving away. The second period is the time when shops for Buddha amulets emerged in Malaysia (B. E. 2538-2549). The third period is the most prosperous time for the trade between Thailand and Malaysia (B.E. 2549 - 2547) since the Chatukam - Ramathep Fever in Thailand. The factors that bring about the popularity of the Buddha amulets in Malaysia stem from the belief in sacredness of the most revered Buddhist monks and of Buddha amulets of Chinese Malaysians who have their faith in Mahayana Buddhism, that is, the beliefs in Gods. As a result, it is very easy for them to take up this belief about sacredness of Thai Buddha amulets. The sacredness of the revered monks and Buddha amulets have been transmitted through what that has been called “sacred stories” that have been spread widely through people’s narrative stories as well as through many media channels such as magazines and books. These stories about the revered monks and Buddha amulets have been spread in Thailand since the Second World War and later to Malaysia. These sacred stories are considered a cultural capital of Buddha amulets that results in the value attached and their rising prices.

การค้าพระเครื่องข้ามชาติระหว่างไทยและมาเลเซีย

การค้าพระเครื่องข้ามชาติระหว่างไทย และมาเลเซียแบ่งได้ออกเป็น 3 ช่วงด้วยกัน คือ ช่วงแรก คือยุคเริ่มต้นการค้าพระเครื่อง (พ.ศ. 2500 - 2538) โดยพระเครื่องถูกแพร่ กระจายไปยังมาเลเซียด้วยวิธีการแจกจ่ายช่วง สอง คือการเกิดขึ้นของร้านพระเครื่องในมาเลเซีย (พ.ศ. 2538 - 2549) ซึ่งเป็นช่วงที่มีการเกิดขึ้น ของร้านพระเครื่องในมาเลเซีย และช่วงสาม คือ ยุคเฟื่องฟูของการค้าพระเครื่องข้ามชาติระหว่าง ไทยและมาเลเซีย (พ.ศ. 2549 - 2557) นับเป็น ช่วงที่การค้าพระเครื่องเจริญสูงสุดนับตั้งแต่ เกิดกระแสจตุคามรามเทพในไทย โดยปัจจัยที่ ส่งผลให้พระเครื่องไทยเป็นที่นิยมในมาเลเซีย เกิดจากความเชื่อในเรื่องความศักดิ์สิทธิ์ของ เกจิอาจารย์และพระเครื่องไทยของชาวมาเลเซีย เชื้อสายจีนที่มีพื้นฐานความเชื่อแบบพุทธมหายาน คือ เชื่อในเรื่อง เทพเจ้ามาเป็นทุนเดิมแล้ว ดังนั้นการรับเอาความเชื่อเรื่องความ ศักดิ์สิทธิ์เกี่ยวกับพระเครื่องไทยจึงเป็นเรื่องไม่ยากนัก สำหรับความ ศักดิ์สิทธิ์ของเกจิอาจารย์และพระเครื่องไทยถูกถ่ายทอดผ่านสิ่งที่เรียก ว่า “เรื่องเล่าศักดิ์สิทธิ์” ที่แพร่หลายในสังคมผ่านการบอกเล่าของผู้คน รวมถึงสื่อต่าง ๆ เช่น นิตยสาร หนังสือ เป็นต้น โดยเรื่องเล่าศักดิ์สิทธิ์ เกี่ยวกับเกจิอาจารย์และพระเครื่องแพร่หลายในไทยก่อนนับตั้งแต่หลัง สงครามโลกครั้งที่สองเป็นต้นมา และต่อมาจึงแพร่กระจายสู่ชาว มาเลเซียเชื้อสายจีน ส่งผลให้พระเครื่องไทยเป็นที่นิยมในมาเลเซีย ซึ่ง เรื่องเล่าศักดิ์สิทธิ์นับเป็นทุนทางวัฒนธรรมอย่างหนึ่งของพระเครื่อง ที่ส่งผลต่อการเกิดมูลค่าของพระเครื่อง และมูลค่าที่สูงขึ้นของพระเครื่องด้วย
