BUDDHIST ADMINISTRATION AND THE CURRENT THAI SANGHA CONTEXT

Abstract

Buddhist administration is the duty of the Sangha that needs to manage and help drive the 6 areas, namely 1. Administration 2. Religious education, 3. Educational welfares 4.  Buddhism dissemination, 5. Religious place construction and 6. Public welfares which is currently under the supervision of the Supreme Sangha Council. For the administration context, Sangha must understand the discipline, Dhamma, Vinaya, policy, mission, authority and basic administrative principles, namely self-administration, people administration and work administration including the adoption of POSDC management principles (Planning, Planning, Organizing, Organizing, Staffing, Personnel, Directing, Administration, Controlling, Supervision), especially number 1. P Planning means planning, setting missions, policies of the northern unit, which is the Sangha Sangha, including various laws related to the Sangha and Article, 2. O Organizing means organizing the organization, determining the structure of the administration of Buddhist affairs. according to the authority The Supreme Sangha Council is the supreme governing body of the Sangha. Therefore, it will be able to manage the Sangha in order to be able to disseminate its teachings to interested Buddhists in order to maintain Buddhism.
