QUALITY OF LIFE DEVELOPMENT FOR THE ELDERLY IN CHIANG RAK NOY SUBDISTRICT MUNICIPALITY, BANG PA-IN DISTRICT, PHRA NAKHON SI AYUTTHAYA PROVINCE

Abstract

Objectives of this research article were: 1. T1o study the quality of life of elderly people at Chiang Rak Noi Sub-District, and 2. To propose guidelines for improving the quality of life of elderly people at Chiang Rak Noi Sub-District. The research was conducted by the mixed research methods.

The results of this research were found that 1. The overall level of quality-of-life development for the elderly at Chiang Rak Noi Sub-District was at high level. When analyzed by area, it was found that the development of quality of life for the elderly at Chiang Rak Noi Sub-District that was at the highest level was social protection for the elderly. The aspect that had the lowest average was the knowledge development and dissemination related to the elderly.2. Guidelines for improving the quality of life of elderly populations at Chiang Rak Noi Sub-District included activities should also promote the development of the quality of life for community members who were entering old age, by informing them about the health risk factors that may arise after entering old age, including physical, mental, emotional, and social factors. This should cover all three groups of elderly populations: those who are socially active, homebound, and bedridden.There should be public relations through line public address system and covder all areas to prevent not-access to data of the elderly groups.
