THE ROLE OF MONKS AND THE PROMOTION OF FAITH IN BUDDHISM FOR YOUTH IN BAN KHAI DISTRICT RAYONG PROVINCE

This research has the objective 1. To study the general conditions of the role 2. To compare roles 3. To study problems, obstacles, and suggestions regarding the role of monks and promoting faith in Buddhism to youth in Ban Khai District, Rayong Province. This is a combined method research. Quantitative research: Distribute questionnaires to youth. There were 746 people who were studying in high school at Ban Khai School, Rayong Province. Data were analyzed using percentages, means, standard deviations, inferential statistics, and descriptive statistics. As for qualitative research, Data were collected using interviews with 9 key informants or people and analyzed. Using content analysis techniques, including context.
The research results found that 1. General condition of the role of monks. It was found that the youth have opinions towards the role of monks and promoting faith in Buddhism to youth is overall at a high level ( =4.16, S.D.=0.38) and when considered in each aspect, it is found that It is at a high level in every aspect. 2. Comparison of the roles of monks Classified by personal factors, it was found that youth with different genders, ages, and educational levels had different opinions on the role of monks and promoting faith in Buddhism to youth in Ban Khai District, Rayong Province, is no different. Therefore, the research hypothesis was rejected. 3. Problems, obstacles, and suggestions regarding the role of monks in promoting faith in Buddhism to youth in Ban Khai District, Rayong Province. It was found that the problems, obstacles, and monks teach differently. Youth are irresponsible in carrying out their duties. Having a crush on someone of the opposite sex who already owns it There are excuses to defend yourself. Suggestion section Monks should provide teaching that is in the same direction. Be aware of your duties and should recommend working mindfully.
