THE ROLE OF MONKS IN STRENGTHENING FAITH IN BUDDHISM FOR PEOPLE IN WANG NOI DISTRICT AYUTTAYA PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research article are: 1. Study the level of roles of monks. 2. Compare opinions of monks. 3. Study problems, obstacles, and suggestions regarding their roles. of monks to strengthen faith in Buddhism among the people In Wang Noi District Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province It is a combined method research. Quantitative research Questionnaires were distributed to 259 monks. Data obtained were analyzed by finding frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Hypotheses were tested by t-test, F-value, one-way analysis of variance. and qualitative research Using interviews with 9 key informants or people and analyzing the content and context.

The results of the research found that: 1. The level of opinions of monks regarding the role of monks in strengthening faith in Buddhism among the people in Wang Noi District. Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province Overall, it was at a high level. 2. Monks had opinions on the role of monks in strengthening faith in Buddhism. Overall, classified according to personal factors. Not significantly different at the 0.01 level, thus rejecting the set hypothesis. 3. Problems, obstacles, and suggestions Thai society believes in the principles of science more than the principles of Buddhism. There is a lack of training for youth to know about the consequences of karma. Some laws are beneficial to immoral acts. Suggestions: Monks should have activities with society to explain the principles of karma, one should behave in a way that can be relied on by the people Cultivate faith by keeping the 5 precepts.
