BUDDHA-DHAMMA APPLICATION FOR LOCAL POLITICIANS’ ROLES PROMOTION FOR TABMA SUB-DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY DEVELOPMENT, MUEANG DISTRICT, RAYONG PROVINCE

Abstract

Objectives of this research article were 1. To study the level of promotion of the role of local politicians, 2. To study the promotion of the role of local politicians, and 3. To study the guidelines for applying Buddhist principles to promote the role of local politicians in Thab Ma Subdistrict Municipality, Mueang District, Rayong Province. The research was conducted by the mixed methods. The quantitative research. the sample was randomly calculated from Taro Yamane&’s formula, totaling 392 people by using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics including frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The qualitative research, data were collected from 9 key informants using structured interviews. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques.

The results of the research were found that: 1. Promoting the role of local politicians in the sub-district municipality Thap Ma, Mueang District, Rayong Province, by overall was at a high level 2. Between the Sangahahavatthu Principles 4 and promoting the role of local politicians, there ws a positive relationship at a high level (r=0.811**) with statistical significance at the 0.01 level and 3. Buddhist principles to promote the role of local politicians in Thap Ma Sub-District Municipality, Mueang District, Rayong Province, including 1. Local politicians gave Interest and attention to having a public health system for the people. 2. Local politicians provided public utility systems by allowing people to participate in management. 3. Local politicians served as role models infollowing community and social rules and participated in maintaining peace and order in various villages. and 4. Politicians, the local community had an image of promoting physical activity and maintaining good health. and encouraged exercise for people to be role models by participating in traditional activities with local people.
