DEVELOPMENT OF SANGHA GOVERNANCE ACCORDING TO THE PLAN TO REFORM BUDDHIST AFFAIRS OF THE CHIANG RAI PROVINCE SANGHA

Abstract

This research article aims to: 1. Study the general conditions and obstacles in driving the administration of the monastic community according to the Buddhist reform plan of the monastic community in Chiang Rai Province, 2. Study the development process of the administration of the monastic community according to the Buddhist reform plan of the monastic community in Chiang Rai Province, and 3. Present the development of the administration of the monastic community according to the Buddhist reform plan of the monastic community in Chiang Rai Province. The qualitative research used in-depth interviews with 25 key informants and focus group discussions with 10 participants. The data was analyzed and presented in a descriptive manner.

The research findings revealed that: 1. The general conditions for driving the administration of the monastic community according to the Buddhist reform plan of the monastic community in Chiang Rai Province have continuously improved. The key aspects of driving the administration of the monastic community according to the Buddhist reform plan involve developing strengths, addressing weaknesses, seizing opportunities, and overcoming obstacles to achieve the reform plan's goals. This leads to the development of an efficient, transparent, and modern administration of the monastic community, contributing to the prosperity of the temples. 2. The development process of the administration of the monastic community according to the Buddhist reform plan of the monastic community in Chiang Rai Province is systematically managed, encompassing planning, organization, command, coordination, and control. This systematic management will lead to successful reform and development of the monastic administration, integrating Buddhist activities. 3. The presentation of the development of the administration of the monastic community according to the Buddhist reform plan of the monastic community in Chiang Rai Province focuses on developing an efficient, transparent, and modern administration. It emphasizes decentralizing governance, delegating authority to different levels of the monastic community, increasing roles and responsibilities, and developing the administrative structure of the monastic community to align with contemporary times.
