THE DEVELOPMENT OF PARIYATTIDHAMMA EDUCATION MANAGEMENT DHAMMA DIVISION OF SANGHA ON CHANTHABURI PROVINCE

This research article aims to 1. Analyze the general situation 2. Study the process 3. Present the development of the teaching of Dhamma in the Dhamma Department of the Sangha of Chanthaburi Province. The research is a mixed-methods research, consisting of qualitative and quantitative research. In the qualitative research, semi-structured interviews were used with 18 key informants or people and focus group discussions with 10 people or people, using descriptive content analysis techniques, summarized as essays. The quantitative research used a questionnaire with a sample group of 273 monks. The reliability of the whole questionnaire was 0.864. The quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.
The research results found that: 1. General conditions in the development of teaching management, strengths and opportunities, continuous promotion of teaching and learning, weaknesses and obstacles, teaching and learning are still outdated and lack interesting teaching media, the number of monks has decreased. 2. The process of developing teaching and learning management, planning aspect, planning according to the objectives of the school, organization aspect, structure determination and division of work duties, personnel arrangement, selection and recruitment of personnel suitable for the work, administration aspect, administrators control and supervise the work of personnel, coordination aspect, coordination both inside and outside the school, reporting aspect, summarizing teaching and learning results, budget aspect, support from the government and devotees, and when surveying opinions, it was found that overall, it was at a moderate level. 3. Development of teaching and learning of Buddhist scriptures, Dhamma department of the Sangha of Chanthaburi Province, in terms of the curriculum, should be improved to be more interesting, teaching and learning aspect, organizing content and activities to be consistent with learners, teaching media aspect, using modern media and innovation to stimulate learners’ interest, teaching techniques, organizing activities to make learners the center of learning, measurement and evaluation aspect, defining the scope and designing measurement and evaluation aspect, and when surveying opinions, it was found that overall, it was at a moderate level.
