THE OPERATIONS OF THE FIVE PRECEPTS' VILLAGE PROJECT OF THE THAI SANGHA MODEL IN PATHUM THANI PROVINCE

Abstract

Objectives of this article were: 1. To study the current situation, problems, obstacles Project implementation 2. To study the components of the project implementation process 3. To develop a model for the implementation of the 5 Precepts Village Project in Pathum Thani Province This research used qualitative research methods, collecting data through in-depth interviews with 25 key informants or people, and collecting data from documents and related research, using descriptive content analysis.

Findings were as follows: 1. The current situation in implementing the project has strengths: In implementing the project, the strengths are that the government, private sector, and the public sector are interested and committed. There is a vision for implementing the project. The weaknesses are that in some areas, people are not yet interested enough. The opportunities are that temples and network partners have the opportunity to participate. The obstacles are that in some areas, there is still a lack of awareness of the project among the people in the area. 2. A process strategy for working, goals and objectives of the project have been set. Implementation: A project committee has been set up, joint meetings have been held, and project procedures have been followed. Inspection: Field visits have been made to monitor project progress in each area to listen to problems and obstacles. Improvements: We have taken the shortcomings from the inspection and implemented them to make them better. 3. The developing result the project implementation model found that it was carried out to create stability in Buddhism by instilling faith in Buddhism through various activities and upgrading the internal management process by relying on the cooperation of various network partners to achieve success.
