BUDDHADHAMMA APPLICATION FOR PROMOTE PERSONNEL PERFORMANCE KHLONG DON LUANG MUNICIPALITY, PATHUM THANI

Abstract

Objectives of this research article were: 1. To study the level of performance competency among personnel of Khlong Luang Town Municipality, 2. To examine the relationship between Buddhist principles and personnel performance competency, and 3. To propose guidelines for applying Buddhist principles to enhance the performance competency of personnel of Khlong Luang Town Municipality, conducted by the mixed methods. The quantitative data were collected from 222 samples, determined using Taro Yamane’s (1973) formula. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The quantitative research, data were collected with questionnaires consisting of four parts: 1. demographic information, 2. Baladhamma, Buddhist strength principles, 3. performance competency, and 4. problems, obstacles, and recommendations. For the qualitative research, data were collected from 10 key informants purposefully selected. In-depth interviews were conducted, and the data were analyzed using descriptive interpretation. Inferential statistics, including Pearson’s correlation coefficient, were analyzed using statistical software. The qualitative findings were synthesized according to the research objectives.

Findings were as follows 1. The overall level of personnel performance competency was at the highest level. 2. The relationship between Buddhist principles and personnel performance competency showed that the overall practice of Baladhamma had a very strong positive correlation with the performance competency of personnel of Khlong Luang Town Municipality and 3. The guidelines for the development of operational competence were found that in terms of intelligence, physical education, the ability to analyze environmental situations related to work. Physical education was to have a firm mind, patience, intentionally doing the work of a person with a stable mind and commit to the goal. To verify the person who was responsible for the work done. In the field of health; paying attention to the welfare and well-being of personnel, the people who care and take full care of them thoroughly.
