APPLICATION OF THE FOUR IDDHIPĀDĀ PRINCIPLES TO DEVELOP PERSONNEL COMPETENCIES OF THE NIKHOM KRASIAO SUBDISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION AT DAN CHANG DISTRICT IN SUPHANBURI PROVINCE

Abstract

Objectives of this research article were:  1. to examine the competencies of personnel in the Nikhom Krasaeo Sub-District Administrative Organization, Dan Chang District, Suphan Buri Province; 2. to study the relationship between the Iddhipada 4 principles and the competencies of personnel in the Nikhom Krasaeo Sub-District Administrative Organization, Dan Chang District, Suphan Buri Province; and 3. to propose the application of the Iddhipada Four, Paths of Accomplishment principles to develop the competencies of personnel in the Nikhom Krasaeo Sub-District Administrative Organization, Dan Chang District, Suphan Buri Province. The study employed a mixed-methods approach, consisting of quantitative research by collecting data through questionnaires from a sample of 366 monks or laypersons, and analyzing the data using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. The qualitative research by conducting in-depth interviews with 10 key informants, analyzing the data through content descriptive interpretation.

The research findings revealed that: 1. By overall, the competencies of personnel in the Nikhom Krasaeo Sub-District Administrative Organization were at a high level. When considering each aspect, the highest was teamwork, followed by adherence to integrity and ethics, understanding of the organization and work systems, service excellence, and achievement orientation. 2. The relationship between Iddhipada 4, the Four Paths of Accomplishment principles and personnel competencies in the Nikhom Krasaeo Sub-District Administrative Organization was found to be low and positive. When categorized by aspect, all dimensions showed a low positive correlation: the highest was diligence (Viriya), followed by desire (Chanda), investigation (Vimamsa), and concentration (Citta). 3. Developing personnel competencies in the Nikhom Krasaeo Sub-District Administrative Organization in line with Iddhipada helped enhance motivation, concentration, and analytical thinking, while improving performance in five areas: 3.1 Achievement orientation, 3.2 Adherence to integrity and ethics, 3.3 Understanding of the organization and work systems, 3.4 Service excellence, and 3.5 Teamwork. The approach emphasized clear goals, continuous training, technology utilization, and the creation of an organizational culture that fostered participation and ethics to improve the quality of public services sustainably.
