GOVERNING THE SANGHA ACCORDING TO THE PRINCIPLES OF BRAHMAVIHARA DHAMMA OF THE SANGHA IN SUNG NOEN DISTRICT, NAKHON RATCHASIMA PROVINCE

Abstract

Objectives of this research papers were: 1. To study the level of Sangha Administration based on the Brahmaviharadhamma of the Sangha Administrative Monks at Sung Noen District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province; 2. To study the relationship between the Brahmaviharadhamma and the Sangha Administration based on the Brahmaviharadhamma of the Sangha Administrative Monks at Sung Noen District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province; and 3. To present the application of Buddhist principles to the Sangha Administration based on the Brahmaviharadhamma of the Sangha Administrative Monks at Sung Noen District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, conducted by the mixed research methods, collected data from a sample of 108 individuals and 10 key informants using questionnaires and in-depth-interviews scripts. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, including synthesizing interviews according to the research objectives.

The research results found that 1. The overall Sangha Administration at Sung Noen District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province was at a moderate level. When considering each aspect, they were at a moderate level in all aspects, ranked by the average values ​​as follows: governance, education, public welfare, public utilities, dissemination, and educational welfare, respectively. 2. The relationship between the Brahmaviharadhamma and the Sangha Administration based on the Brahmaviharadhamma of the Sangha Administrative Monks at Sung Noen District Nakhon Ratchasima Province was found that, by overall, the Brahmaviharadhamma was at a moderate level. When considering each aspect, all aspects were at a moderate level, ranked by average value as follows: loving-kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy, and equanimity, respectively. 3. The application of Buddhist principles in the Sangha Administration of the Sangha Administrative Monks according to the principles of the Brahmaviharadhamma at Sung Noen District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, consisted of the Brahmaviharadhamma, namely loving-kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy, and equanimity, applied to the administration of the Sangha Administration, resulting in the efficiency of the Sangha Administration, namely, administration, education, Dissemination, public utilities, educational welfare, and public welfare.
