INTEGRATING BUDDHIST PRINCIPLES FOR ENHANCING ADMINISTRATIVE EFFICIENCY A CASE STUDY OF LAN DOK MAI SUB-DISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION AT MUEANG DISTRICT IN KAMPHAENG PHET PROVINCE

Objectives of this research article were: 1. To study the level of Buddhist principles integration for enhancing the administrative efficiency of Lan Dok Mai Sub-District Administrative Organization, Mueang District, Kamphaeng Phet Province; 2. To compare the opinions of the local people toward the integration of Buddhist principles for promoting administrative efficiency of Lan Dok Mai Sub-District Administrative Organization, classified by personal factors; and 3. To investigate the problems, obstacles, and recommendations for integrating Buddhist principles to enhance administrative efficiency. The study employed a mixed-methods research design, combining quantitative and qualitative approaches. The research instrument had a reliability coefficient of 0.920. The sample group consisted of 379 local residents, and in-depth interviews were conducted with 10 key informants (both monks and laypersons). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and qualitative content analysis.
The research results revealed that: 1. The overall perception of the people toward the administrative efficiency of Lan Dok Mai Sub-District Administrative Organization was at a high level (=3.90, S.D.=0.12), When considering each aspect, all were rated at a high level. 2. The comparison of opinions on administrative efficiency, classified by personal factors such as gender, age, education level, occupation, and income, showed no statistically significant differences, therefore rejecting the set research hypothesis. 3. Regarding problems, obstacles, and suggestions, it was found that although the local residents and administrators strived to improve the quality of life in the community, several challenges remained, particularly in service quality, budget efficiency, and policy planning which required systematic solutions grounded in Buddhist principles to strengthen administrative performance and promote sustainable local development.
