GUIDELINES FOR PROMOTING THE POLITICAL CULTURE OF THE NEW GENERATION YOUTH BASED ON THE PRINCIPLES OF SUJARITADHAMMA

Abstract

Objectives of this article aimed to present guidelines for promoting the political culture of the new generation youth based on the principles of Sujaritadhamma. The study was found that the new generation youth should adhere to the principles of Sujaritadhamma in their daily lives and political participation as follows: 1) Gāya-sujarita; righteous bodily conduct, youth should express their political views appropriately, respect laws and social regulations, exercise their rights and freedoms responsibly without violating the rights of others, and avoid violence or actions that create social division; 2) Vacī-sujarita; righteous verbal conduct, youth should communicate politely, reasonably, and truthfully in both daily life and online media, verify information before sharing, and avoid hate speech or the dissemination of false information; and 3) Mano-sujarita; righteous mental conduct and proper political consciousness, youth should cultivate compassion, honesty, and concern for the public interest over personal gain, while being open-minded toward differing opinions and respecting human dignity.
