IMPLEMENTING NATIONAL LAND POLICY

Abstract

Objectives of this academic article aimed to analyze the implementation of national land policy, focusing on the role of the National Land Policy Council (NLPC) and related agencies in integrating land and soil resource management under the national land policy framework, comprising four aspects: 1. Reserving and protecting state land and maintaining natural balance, through the establishment of clear state land boundaries and the use of information technology and a central database to prevent encroachment on state areas, resulting in more effective natural resource protection; 2. Maximizing the beneficial use of land and soil resources, through the compilation of land use data and the promotion of land use that aligns with potential; 3. Equitably distributing land ownership, through the allocation of agricultural land to citizens via the NLPC project; and 4. Integrating and enhancing participatory land and soil resource management in a unified manner. However, the implementation of national land policy still faces challenges in data integration, law enforcement, and ongoing participation. Therefore, it is necessary to develop monitoring and evaluation mechanisms and strengthen cooperation from all sectors to ensure that the country's land and soil resource management achieves its goals of resource security, reducing inequality, and sustainably improving the quality of life for citizens.
