ADMINISTRATION’S OF KHLONG-SAM SUB-DISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION IN PATHUM THANI PROVINCE ACCORDING TO BUDDHADHAMMA

Abstract

This research article aimed to: 1. study the level of administrative management of Subdistrict Administrative Organization executives based on Buddhist principles; 2. examine the relationship between the Iddhipāda Dhamma principles and the administrative management of Subdistrict Administrative Organization executives; and 3. propose guidelines for the administrative management of executives of Khlong Sam Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani Province. This study employed a mixed-methods research design. The sample consisted of 169 participants. The research instruments included a questionnaire and an interview form. Quantitative data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and correlation coefficient statistics. For the qualitative research, in-depth interviews were conducted with 10 key informants, and the data were analyzed through content analysis and presented descriptively.

The findings revealed that: 1. the level of administrative management of executives of Khlong Sam Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani Province, based on Buddhist principles, was at a high level overall ( = 4.28, S.D. = 0.29); 2. the relationship between the Iddhipāda Dhamma principles and the administrative management of the executives was positively correlated at a moderate level overall (R = .469**); and 3. the guidelines for administrative management indicated that executives should develop their work performance by adhering to the Iddhipāda Dhamma principles, beginning with fostering inspiration and a genuine commitment to serving the public (Chanda), strengthening perseverance, patience, and resilience in overcoming obstacles Viriya, paying close attention to work details, personnel management, and communication with the public Citta, and continuously evaluating, monitoring, and improving work processes Vimamsa. These guidelines can enhance administrative effectiveness, transparency, and alignment with Buddhist principles that emphasize the well-being and welfare of the people.
