ผืนผ้าโบราณของจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้

Abstract

ในสมัยอยุธยาจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ของประเทศไทยเป็นเมืองท่าค้าขายที่สำคัญกับต่างประเทศ ความสัมพันธ์ทางการค้ากับประเทศต่างๆ เช่น อินเดีย จีน อินโดนีเซีย เขมรและมลายู ทำให้เกิดการผสมผสานทางวัฒนธรรมระหว่างชาวต่างชาติที่เข้ามาใหม่กับคนพื้นเมือง ดังจะเห็นได้จากการผสมผสานทางวัฒนธรรมการทอผ้าของชาวไทยมุสลิมในจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ ซึ่งส่งผลให้ผ้าทอพื้นบ้านมีรูปแบบ ลวดลาย เทคนิคและสีสันคล้ายคลึงกับผ้าของชาวอินเดีย จีน อินโดนีเซีย เขมร และมลายู

จากการศึกษาข้อมูลพบว่า ผ้าที่ใช้ในชีวิตประจำวัน และใช้ในพิธีกรรมต่างๆ ของชาวไทยมุสลิมในจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้มีมากมายหลายชนิด ได้แก่ ผ้าการะดูวอ ผ้าการะตีฆอผ้าการะป๊ะห์ ผ้าปลางิง ผ้าสะมารินดา ผ้าซอแก๊ะ ผ้าจวนตานี (ผ้าลีมา) ผ้าแอแจ๊ะ เป็นต้นผ้าเหล่านี้มีความสวยงามและมีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะท้องถิ่น นอกจากนี้ลวดลายและสีสันบนผืนผ้ายังบ่งบอกกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ สถานภาพของผู้สวมใส่และวิถีชีวิตของผู้คน ซึ่งเปรียบเสมือนกระจกเงาที่สะท้อนภาพประวัติศาสตร์ของสังคมในจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้

in Ayudhaya period, southern border provinces of Thailand were the important mercantile city state trading with foreign countries. Trade relations with other countries, for example, India, China, Indonesia, Cambodia and Malaya, resulted in cross - cultural interaction between foreign newcomers and local people. An example of the cultural interaction can be seen in cloths woven by of Muslim Thais in southern border provinces. Such cloths are with patterns and designs as well as weaving techniques and colors similar to those woven by the Indian, Chinese, Indonesian, Khmer and Melayan.

From the study, the data showed that cloths that had been used in daily life and religious rites of Muslim Thais in Southern border provinces were various kinds, for example, Karaduwor, Karateekor, Karapah, Plae-nging, Samarinda, Sokae or Songket, Acae, Juan - tani (kine limar) cloths, etc. These cloths are beautiful and unique. Besides, their designs and colors tell us about the races and status of the people who wore them as well as their ways of life which reflect the history of Southern border provinces of Thailand
