Journal of the Office of Arts and Culture, Songkhla Rajabhat University

The Journal of the Office of Arts and Culture, Songkhla Rajabhat University recognizes the importance of ethics in academic publishing and is committed to maintaining high ethical standards throughout the publication process. The journal adheres to the principles and best practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)

All manuscripts submitted to the journal are subject to a double-blind peer review process to prevent bias and conflicts of interest. In addition, all submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software (Copy Catch). Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 30% will be returned to the authors for revision and clarification. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in rejection of the manuscript and termination of the review process.

Editorial Ethics

The editor-in-chief, editors, and editorial board are responsible for managing the editorial process in a fair, transparent, and ethical manner. Their responsibilities include the following:

  1. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision to accept or reject a manuscript based on the recommendations and comments of the reviewers.

  2. Editors must assign manuscripts to reviewers who possess appropriate expertise in the relevant field and who have no conflicts of interest with the authors.

  3. Editors must not disclose the identities of authors or reviewers and must maintain confidentiality throughout the review process.

  4. Editors must not disclose or use any information from unpublished manuscripts for personal benefit.

  5. All reviewer reports and related information must be kept confidential and used solely for editorial decision-making.

Author Ethics

Authors are required to adhere strictly to academic and publication ethics. The following principles apply:

  1. Manuscripts submitted to the journal must be original works and must not have been previously published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

  2. If any part of the manuscript has been previously presented or published, the authors must clearly acknowledge and cite the original source.

  3. Authors may submit their manuscripts to another journal only after the manuscript has been formally rejected by the Journal of the Office of Arts and Culture, Songkhla Rajabhat University.

  4. Authors are responsible for responding appropriately to all reviewer comments and suggestions. If authors disagree with any comments, they must provide a clear and reasoned explanation. The final decision rests with the editor or the editorial board.

  5. Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the conception, execution, or writing of the manuscript.

  6. Any changes to authorship, including the addition, removal, or reordering of authors, must be approved in writing by all listed authors.

Reviewer Ethics

Reviewers play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and credibility of published manuscripts. Reviewers are expected to adhere to the following ethical standards:

  1. Reviewers should decline to review a manuscript if it falls outside their area of expertise.

  2. Reviews must be conducted objectively, fairly, and without any conflicts of interest.

  3. Reviewers must treat all manuscript information as confidential and must not disclose or use unpublished data or results for personal benefit.

  4. Reviewers should inform the editor if they suspect plagiarism, duplication, or significant overlap with previously published works.
