Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) To compare learning achievement in science and attitude toward science of students after using cooperative learning team game tournament technique before and after learning, 2) To compare learning achievement in science and attitude toward science between the cooperative learning team game tournament technique and the regular technique (5E). The samples were eighth grade from a school in Chonburi Province. They were selected by Cluster random sampling. The samples used in the research were 45 students for sample group and 45 students for control group. The research instruments were cooperative learning team game tournament technique lesson plan, regular lesson plan (5E), science achievement test and attitude toward science test. The data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation and t-test. The results indicated that:
1. The posttest mean scores of science learning achievement and attitude toward science of students after using cooperative learning team game tournament technique were higher than the pretest mean scores at .05 level.
2. The posttest mean scores of science learning achievement and attitude toward science of students after using cooperative learning team game tournament technique were higher than the regular technique at .05 level.
