บทคัดย่อ
ความเป็นครูตามวิถีพุทธในสังคมไทย หมายถึง การที่ครูนำเอาหลักพุทธธรรมขององค์สมเด็จพระสัมมา สัมพุทธเจ้า มาเป็นแนวทางในการประพฤติปฏิบัติตามบทบาทและหน้าที่ของความเป็นครู เพื่อปลูกฝังให้นักเรียนหรือศิษย์ของตนเป็นคนเก่ง คนดี มีความสุข และมีคุณธรรม คู่กับการดำเนินชีวิตได้อย่างถูกต้องและเหมาะสม โดยครูควรนำหลักพุทธธรรมมาประยุกต์ใช้ในการปฏิบัติเพื่อให้เกิดประโยชน์กับศิษย์หรือนักเรียนมากที่สุด หลักพุทธธรรมดังกล่าวมี 7 ประการ คือ เป็นผู้มีความน่ารัก น่าเคารพ น่ายกย่อง รู้จักพูดให้ได้ผล อดทนต่อถ้อยคำ แถลงเรื่องล้ำลึกหรือสามารถอธิบายเรื่องที่ยากให้เข้าใจง่าย และไม่แนะนำให้ศิษย์ของตนเองดำเนินชีวิตในทางที่ไม่ดีไม่งาม

Abstract
Being a professional teacher in accordance with the Buddhist way in Thai society means the teacher has to take the principles of the Lord Buddha Dhamma to guide the role and the duty of teacher. This will indoctrinate their students to become good and moral students. Teacher ought to apply the Buddha Dhamma for the most advantage for all students. Those Buddha Dhamma principles are seven aspects: lovable, respectable, admirable, being a counsellor, being a patient listener, able to deliver discourse in deep and never lead students to live grandlessly.
