Abstract

The research purposes were to conduct a model for guidance teacher’s development competencies in Secondary School under the Office of Basic Education Commission. The research with three steps as followed, 1) study competency method and process developing competencies for guidance teacher’s in Secondary School under the Office of Basic Education Commission, 2) construct a model for guidance teacher’s development competencies in Secondary School under the Office of Basic Education Commission, and 3) evaluate drafted model for guidance teacher’s development competencies in Secondary School under the Office of Basic Education Commission. The results of research were as follows: A model for guidance teacher’s development competencies in Secondary School under the Office of Basic Education Commission consists of 3 components; 1)the competencies of the guidance teachers consists of 3 main competencies: knowledge, skill, and characteristics; 2) method in developing guidance teacher consists of development by self, organization and network; and 3) the process of guidance teacher’s development competencies consists of four steps 1) evaluate before the development and plan in developing the competency, 2) develop and create network, 3) evaluate after the developing, and 4) apply the evaluation results to improve. The evaluation of a model for guidance teacher’s development competencies in Secondary School under the Office of Basic Education Commission. Administrator found that feasibility at the high level and usefulness at the highest.
