The purpose of this research was to develop a model of competency development for early childhood teachers under local administrative organization. The research procedure followed three steps: 1) studied competencies and guidelines for developing competencies of early childhood teachers under local administrative organization through interview experts and survey, 2) created a model of competency development for early childhood teachers under local administrative organization by drafting and interviewing experts, and 3) evaluated the feasibility of a model of competency development for early childhood teacher under local administrative organization a questionnaire. The research were found:
The development model of early childhood teachers under local administrative organization had 3 main topics 1) the competencies of early childhood teachers, consisting of 7 competencies child development, curriculum and learning management, positive interaction, engaging in professional development, classroom management, analysis and classroom research, and community service, 2) competency development methods included workshops, mentoring, study visit, self-learning, learning from practice, and professional learning community, and 3) competency development process has 5 steps, need analysis, design, implement, supervise and evaluate. The evaluation of a model of competency development for early childhood teachers under local administrative organization showed that the model was utility and feasible for applying at high level.
