Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) to examine the congruence between a causal relationship model of factors affecting lifelong learners attributes of primary students with the empirical data, and 2) to study
the inluence of a causal relationship model of factors affecting lifelong learners attributes of primary students. The sample of this research was two thousand nine hundred ninety of primary students at Office of the Basic Education Commission in Bangkok by simple random sampling. The research instruments were comprised of school factor questionnaire, student factor questionnaire, family factor questionnaire and lifelong learner questionnaire with discrimination ranging from 0.22-0.69 and the validity coefficient to 0.95. The data were analyzed by confirmatory factor analysis, and analyzed causal factors affecting by LISREL program. Research results were as follows: 1) The causal relationship model of factors affecting lifelong learners attributes of primary students was congruent with empirical data. The data analysis revealed the validation of fitted model yielded a Chi-square of 57.56, p-value = 0.08, df = 44, GFI = 1.00, AGFI = 0.99, CFI = 1.00, RMSEA = 0.01 and SRMR = 0.00). 2) The causal factor maximum directly influenced to the lifelong learners attributes was student factor, and the next were school factor and family factor respectively. All three of these factors jointly can explain 72.00% of lifelong learners attributes.
