Abstract
The purpose of this research was to develop the online curriculum to enhance classroom research design competency for the pre-service teacher in Phetchaburi Rajabhat University and study the effectiveness of the curriculum. The curriculum developed is based on the concepts of Oliva. The course development cover four steps (2C2A Model) which are 1) Cultivate the needed issues to be developed, 2) create the curriculum, 3) act learning activities, and 4) assess the curriculum. The learning activity consists of four steps following SMDS steps: 1) suggest, 2) match, 3) display, and 4) summarize. The effectiveness of the curriculum by measuring knowledge, understanding, and the ability to design research in the classroom. The quantitative data analysis using the basic statistical analysis program, included mean, standard deviation and t-test for one sample. The results showed that the developed online course was in highest quality level. The effectiveness of the online course tested with a sample of 17 chemistry 4th year students from the Faculty of Science and Technology, Phetchaburi Rajabhat University. This research used the One-Shot Case study. The result of the research showed that the students had an average score of = 24.32, SD = 3.45 higher than the criteria but there was no statistical difference. The results of the individual assessment found that 52.94% of the students had knowledge and understanding through the criteria. The students' abilities to design classroom research was in very good quality level ( = 106.18, SD = 8.20) and was significantly higher than the criteria (p < 0.05). There were 13 students passing the evaluation criteria (76.47 %).
