Abstract

The purpose of this research was to compare the physical literacy of early childhood in urban and rural areas in Phitsanulok Province. Samples were selected by simple random sampling from 448 in urban and 378 in rural areas. The research instruments included the physical literacy assessment of early childhood and a record of physical literacy form of early childhood. The IOC result was 0.80 and used to try out to find the objectivity of language and to adjust the assessment before using it. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics such as the frequency and the percentage. The analysis of environmental factors promoting physical literacy of early childhood found that in most of urban schools had more environmental factors that promoted early childhood physical literacy than rural schools. The comparative physical literacy of early childhood students between urban and rural areas in Phitsanulok province showed that the majority of early childhood children in the urban area had more desirable level of physical literacy than those in the rural areas.
