THE IMPACTS OF ONLINE LEARNING THROUGH THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC: A CASE AT NARESUAN UNIVERSITY DEMONSTRATION SCHOOL (KINDERGARTEN AND ELEMENTARY EDUCATION)

Abstract
The survey research aimed to study the impact of online learning through the COVID-19 pandemic at Naresuan University Demonstration School (Kindergarten and Elementary Education). The target group consisted of 184 guardians and 25 teachers. The research instruments were social and emotional learning skills assessment forms, questionnaire, and interview form. The statistics were frequency, percentage, and content analysis. The findings from the research were 1) The quantitative data analysis showed that online learning through the pandemic of COVID-19 affected the social and emotional learning skills in five aspects: self- management skill, self-awareness skill, social awareness skill, responsible decision-making skill, and relationship skill. Especially for the items related with managing emotions influenced activities engagement and learning outcomes. 2) The qualitative data analysis method revealed the effects on four aspects: knowledge, skill, attitude and attribute, and health. Moreover, lack of motivation for learning has been influenced on learning activities engagement, so that providing experience for young students would be done effectively in the classroom.
