การใช้ “ข้อความในภาพ” ในหนังสือภาพเกือบไร้คำภาษาฝรั่งเศส

บทคัดย่อ
บทความวิจัยนี้ศึกษาการใช้ “intra-iconic text” หรือข้อความที่ปรากฏเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของภาพใน “หนังสือภาพเกือบไร้คำ” (almost wordless picturebook) ภาษาฝรั่งเศส 7 เรื่องที่ตีพิมพ์ในช่วงปี ค.ศ. 1990-2020 และมี intra-iconic text ปรากฏอยู่ แล้วจึงวิเคราะห์ประเภทของ intra-iconic text ตามการจำแนกของ Bosch และศึกษาบทบาทของข้อความเหล่านั้นในการดำเนินเรื่องตามทฤษฎีของ Nikolajeva และ Delbrassine and Centi ผลการวิจัยพบว่า intra-iconic text ในหนังสือที่ศึกษาแบ่งออกเป็น 3 บทบาทหลัก ได้แก่ 1) ข้อความเติมเต็มการเล่าเรื่องโดยภาพ (complementary intra-iconic texts) ที่มีความจำเป็นต่อการทำความเข้าใจเนื้อเรื่องอย่างสมบูรณ์ เช่น การระบุสถานที่ในเรื่อง Monsieur Hulot à la plage หรือการบอกเวลาเพื่อสร้างความรู้สึกเร่งรีบในเรื่อง Le petit chaperon rouge : la scène de la chemise de nuit 2) ข้อความเพิ่มเติมข้อมูลให้การเล่าเรื่องโดยภาพ (intra-iconic texts as amplification) ที่ช่วยขยายมิติของเรื่องและให้ข้อมูลเพิ่มเติม แม้ผู้อ่านจะยังเข้าใจเนื้อเรื่องได้หากไม่มีข้อความเหล่านั้น เช่น การแนะนำอาชีพของตัวละครในเรื่อง L'écharpe rouge และ 3) ข้อความเพื่อฝึกการสังเกต (observational intra-iconic texts) ที่กระตุ้นให้ผู้อ่านสังเกตรายละเอียดในภาพและส่งเสริมการคิดเชิงวิเคราะห์ เช่น ตัวอักษรและตัวเลขที่ซ่อนอยู่ในภาพของเรื่อง Le colis rouge และ La fabrique
