Abstract

A reading drill composed by Count Phadung
Wittayaserm was designed for solving reading-writing
problem for beginning level children. This reading drill
focused on using Phonic Spelling method. Contents of the
drill comprised of three main topics including three classes
of Thai alphabets, word spelling, and tonal practice. These
principles are for enabling the students to read and write.
This reading drill also provided repetitive teaching
technique by in order to allow the students to fluently
read and write. More importantly, the drill enabled the
students to learn, understand, and rehearse reading and
writing by themselves.
