Developing a model for teaching and learning international music practice in the situation of the corona virus epidemic (Covid-19)

Abstract

 The teaching and learning management of “Music Practice Subject” has been providing in a closed system since the past to present. Meanwhile, there have been problems arising from the learning process between teachers and students due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic. The Music Practice Subject is one of the conducted courses included in the university curriculum. For that reason, the teaching preparedness is a particularly important factor affecting the learning process nowadays. "Online learning" is an alternative to solve problems from the COVID-19 crisis properly. Online classes and learning experiences have been offered by using Information Technology as a substitute for in-class time to meet the objectives and problems for students in higher education. However, the teaching and learning of music practice subjects also requires technological media and various equipment to create appropriateness to support for teaching and learning management from the current situation. It also requests the preparation in multiple fields in order to increase understanding of the roles and components of knowledge skills taken from the learning process in the use of information technology, which learners and teachers must be able to adept the learning process with quality and apply to get the most out of its.
